‘The World Under Brisley Green’, a story born out of an allergic reaction to the pain killers that had been prescribed for an abcess under my tooth. The Story has been some ten years in the making and like all art projects, can be compared to a child growning up and leaving home, taking with them, a part of my soul. Illustration has always been as passion of mine ever since I illustrated Feasts and Festivals, which was probably one of the most challenging commissions I ever undertook. The World Under Brisley Green tells the story of the wicked Lord of Darkness who has built a world underground, incarcerating slaves to weave a web of tormented souls. It tells how a fine kingdom of people, who live on the land above, discover his evil desires and in the end vanquish him. The story is built into a trilogy and presented as illustrated novels extending in total to over three hundred pieces of artwork with a full supporting text.
